Tony Wentersdorf’s 70th Birthday & CD Release Concert: Friday, August 7, 7 pm. An evening of songs, music & stories, also featuring the talents of Mary Parker, Doug Rosenquist, Sally Kuehn, Kent Eklund & Lynn Dosch. This will be a partial fund-raiser for Walker Church, the remaining proceeds going to help pay the cost of making the CD. The CD, entitled Classical Autoharp in Ragtime will contain classical music pieces arranged for autoharp. A free-will donation of $10 requested. Refreshments will be served during a brief intermission. FFI Tony

On Sunday, July 12 we started a survey to allow those involved with our community to express their opinions on the Sunday Celebration. We are using the Survey Monkey website to take this survey. If you choose to do paper surveys they will be available on Sunday July 26 at celebration. We ask that each person fill out one survey either paper or online. -Walter

The 21st Annual Artcar + Artbike parade takes place Saturday, July 25, at 6 pm around Lake Harriet. Janet Skidmore and lots of other people with wacky cars will be driving in the parade. The cars will be on display at the Rose Garden before and after the event. Bring a picnic and the whole family. Free.
OutFront MN Trainings: The state’s leading LGBTQ+ organization is hosting a series of trainings for People of Faith who want to be better allies to the transgender community.

Noon: March to MLK Park on 40th Street & Nicollet Ave.
1 pm to 4 pm: Dedication of the Beloved Community Project followed by music, food & entertainment for the whole family. Sponsored by the Park Legacy Council
Sunday Celebration Summer Schedule: Celebration is at 10 am and will be held in Powderhorn Park near the corner of 33rd Street & 14th Avenue on the following Sundays: August 2, 16 & 30. In case of rain it is held at the church.
