Labor Day Sunday Celebration: September 6, 10:30 am. With guest speaker Kip Hedges of 15 NOW speaking. Kip is the former baggage handler fired by Delta Airlines for his union activities.

Rice Pilaf, Lasagna, Garlic Bread, Salad, Beverage, Dessert. Adults $12, Children 8-18 $4, under 8 free. Bring your friends and family. We will have lots of fun items to bid on. RSVP to Lulu Philips
Bagel Boil Square Dance: Sat, Sep 19, 7 to 11 pm in the sanctuary. Square dancing for all ages (a rental event open to the public.) Come for the Silent Auction, stay for the square dance.
Community Meal: Tues, Sep 22, 5:30 to 6:45 pm.
The Death Café: Thurs, Sep 24, 7 to 10 pm in the sanctuary—with a 2 hour movie. The Death Café will meet every Thursday 7-9 pm through October 29. FFI Mary Parker or Dianne O’Donnell

Bluegrass Jam: Mon, Sep 28, 7 pm to 10 pm. The jams are held the last Monday of each month. Coming late and leaving early is okay. The jam is for folks of all abilities. It is not necessarily church music. Everyone, who wants to, gets to choose and lead several songs. Listeners are also welcome. FFI Roy Vanderwerf revanster@gmail.com

Fall Rummage Sale: Thurs-Sun, Oct 1-4.
The Fall Rummage Sale starts Thursday, October 1. Set up starts Monday, September 28. If you would like to help make decisions about how to run the sale, stay after church on Sunday (in the park). Tony Wentersdorf performs at State Fair: Thurs, Sept 3, sometime after 6 pm on the big outdoor stage near the Space Needle. Tony has qualified for the Semi-finals of the Minnesota State Fair Amateur Talent Contest (in the Open category) for the second year in a row. He will be playing OVER THE RAINBOW on his autoharp. The talent contest finalists get to play at the Grandstand Sunday evening September 6th.
The Death Cafe back again! The first session will be on Thurs, Sept 24, 7 pm. We will be showing a 2 hour movie for the first session. The next 5 sessions will be the five Thursday evenings in October from 7 to 9 pm. FFI Mary Parker or Dianne O’Donnell
Artists! Mark your calendar for the 2015 Walker Church Holiday Art Fair, Saturday, November 21, 10 am to 4 pm & Sunday, November 22, noon to 4 pm. No booth fee, donate 15% of proceeds to Walker Church.
