Leave off fine learning! End the nuisance of saying yes to this and perhaps to that, distinctions with how little difference! Categorical this, categorical that, what slightest use are they! If one leads, another must follow, how silly that is and how false!
Yet conventional people lead an easy life with all their days feast days, a constant spring visit to the Tall Tower, while I am a simpleton, a do-nothing, not big enough yet to raise a hand, not grown enough to smile, a homeless, worthless waif.
Citizens of the world have a surplus of goods, while I am left out, owning nothing. What a booby I must be not to know my way round, what a fool!
The average one is so crisp and so confident that I ought to be miserable going on and on like the sea,
drifting nowhere.
All these people are making their mark in the world, while I, pig-headed, awkward, different from the rest, am only a glorious infant still nursing at the breast.

Psalm 98 Sing!
Sing songs of praise and thanks for the cosmos around and the moral law within.
Shout with joy, all you lands; lift up your voices, rejoice, sing!
Sing with harps, with voices, with trumpets and horns.
Listen! The sea thunders along! All life sings its song.
The rivers clap their hands, the hills ring out with joy.
All these—the voices of God, Who is everywhere.
Sermon by Pastor Walter Lockhart
Special Performance by Howard Kranz

A new monthly venture: “I Need a Witness!” will begin on Monday, November 21, 7 to 8 pm in the sanctuary. Using the Open Stage format, participants will sign in to do a reading when they arrive and the first 6 will read that evening. Each reader will have 10 minutes. The idea is to read stories, journal entries, diaries, memories from your own life…to share these tales with others, thus bringing witnesses to validate your experiences; to open others’ consciousnesses to alternate realities; to help you to deal with your own past! So whether you have dozens of dusty journals in the closet or whether you need to sit down and scrawl a few paragraphs to share, or whether you only want to participate as an honored Witness, PLEASE join us! FFI Mary Parker
