Lao Tzu # 49 Mitchell translation followed by 5 minutes of silence
The Master has no mind of her own. She works with the mind of the people. She is good to people who are good. She is also good to people who aren’t good. This is true goodness. She trusts people who are trustworthy. She also trusts people who aren’t trustworthy. This is true trust.
The Master’s mind is like space. People don’t understand her. They look to her and wait. She treats them like her own children.
Welcome, Announcements & Offering
Walker Singers Performance “An Anthem for Thanksgiving” by William Billings.
Scripture Reading Philippians 4:4-9 by Greg Garman
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.

Lee Schubert, author of Woman Incognito: Transsexual without Transition will speak on Friday, November 18, from 5-7 p.m. at All God’s Children – Metropolitan Community Church, 3100 Park Avenue, Minneapolis. Lee was born with a male body but came to realize that she was a woman in a male body. Schubert discovered that gender is not determined by physical sex and has no interest in changing her body to make it appear more female. Lee will read from her book and be joined by multiple local transgender people of faith to discuss transcending boundaries of gender in a spiritual context.

CALL FOR CHORISTERS: SAVE THE DATES!
La Natividad, December 15-22, 2016
By popular demand, we are bringing back our innovative, processional bi-lingual Christmas performance La Natividad. If you have a strong singing voice and some choral experience, we invite you to be part of our whimsical and beautiful Angel Choir. In our ambulatory event, the choir sings at In the Heart of the Beast Theatre, in a two-block profession to St. Paul’s church, and in the final act of the show inside that church. Songs are traditional and original arrangements in Spanish and English.
We need all four choral parts, SATB, and if you play woodwinds, brass, accordion or another winter-hardy instrument, we’d be interested in that, too! The rehearsal schedule appears below. If you need to miss one or two of the choir rehearsals that’s all right, as long as you can make most of them.
Please contact music director Laurie Witzkowski at barefootmuse@gmail.com or volunteer coordinator scottie hall at volunteer@hobt.org
