Trustees Meeting Minutes
April 13, 2016
Those present: Walter Lockhart, Ed Ed Mueller, Al Hildenbrand, Wayne Bailey, K. C. Bretzke, Trenk Ebbighausen, Harlan Seelhoff
Minutes of the last meeting were approved as read.
Elevator service by the Thyssen Krupp Adjuster from a month ago to correct the missing Phase II as discovered by the State elevator inspector has not resulted in any bill to date.
Entrapment was reported to the Trustees by, first, Al as to the Saturday night events, then Walter as to the events on Monday with Jim Eliot, the elevator technician. No cause, either mechanical or software-based, could be found for the entrapment.
Trenk moved & Ed Ed seconded to draft signage language for inside the elevator and on the elevator landings to the effect that unattended kids should be discouraged from using the elevator if it looks like they are playing games, or are heading to the basemnent to explore. The motion includes adding language to the Building Rules on the Rent Blank Form to the same effect. Saying it positively, the elevator is, first, for accessibility for the differently enabled and those who find stairs difficult, and, second, for moving heavy, bulky and / or awkward things between floors. Invite Ignasio to get cultural reference(s) into context for the Spanish translation. (NOTE: This paragraph in these minutes is not intended as a model of text, but only as a synopsis of the points covered in this motion.) Passed. KC will contact Jennifer to work on the language together.
Ecstatic Movement report: rental agreement executed, off street parking figured out, trained in on sound system.
Kitchen griddle is reported to be working well.
RP valve was inspected by Brandi Voss for Trenk Mechanical.
Washer / Dryer is to be put on Trenk’s schedule.
K.C., having just attended the Finance Committee meeting, reported we are behind on giving and ahead on rentals, but overall things are “Walker-normal”.
K.C. reported the property tax exemption application was submitted.
Gardening Committee report from Mar. 15, is that the meeting “kind of happened,” Ed Ed said. Walter has some raised beds that might be used. Discussion is ongoing.
Meeting adjourned.
