Snow White by Classics Lost n Found Theatre: Classics Lost ‘n’ Found Theater Company is proud to present an original adaption of Snow White, written by Steven LaVigne. Co-directed by Dawn Linnell and Steven LaVigne, this is not the Disney version! Dancing bears! Bad puns! Corny jokes! A bratty Snow White and a Prince who thinks he’s a dwarf! A good fairy in drag! Please join us for this free-wheeling holiday panto! Four performances only! Friday, December 14th at 7pm, Saturday, December 15th at 3pm and 7pm and Sunday, December 16th at 3pm in the sanctuary. Tickets are $7 for adults, and $5 for students or seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the door 1/2 hour prior to performances. General seating only. For more info, contact (612) 724-4539.

Third Sunday in Advent
Reader: “And Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for God has looked with favor on the lowliness of this servant. Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name'” (Luke 1:46-49).
Reader: Today we remember Mary, innocent and powerful, sacred and scared, worried and waiting as the Savior of all grows in her womb. She sings boldly when she might be meek; she bears her role in history with the confidence of a warrior; she is the beginning of a mighty revolution as the proud are brought down and the lowly lifted up.
People: Today we give thanks for the Marys among us, who step out of the roles society has planned; unintended pioneers determined to do as God asks; fearless and fearfully stepping out in faith, and beckoning us to do the same.
Reader: On this third Sunday of Advent, we light this candle as a symbol of Mary, mother of God, bearer of the Way.

Men’s Brunch: Karl Jones is doing a redux – hosting us for the second straight time, Saturday, December 15. The Walker Singers will sing at the service at Simpson Methodist Church at 9:30amon Sunday morning, December 16th,. We will sing two or three songs at that service.
The Holiday Carolers will be singing in the uptown Lunds and Byerlys, 1450 West Lake Street in Minneapolis, on Saturday and Sunday, December 15 and 16, from 3 to 5 pm each day. In the group are Howard Kranz, Cheryl Kramer, Steve Gehrenbeck Miller, and Janet Skidmore.
Just because it isn’t ready for release isn’t to say you can’t gift your relatives and friends this Christmas with the Walker Church music CD, “The Sound of Walker.” We will provide a greeting gift card mailer in quantity for your use that announces an anticipated release date. Then the CD, when it’s ready, would be mailed (or delivered) by you to those you gave the gift-to-come cards to. Please let me know many cards you’ll need: Jesse Watkins 612-296-3723.
2018 Homeless Memorial March and Service: Thursday, December 20th
5:00 pm | March & Silent Vigil
Hennepin County Government Center 3rd Avenue South & 5th Street South, Minneapolis The Homeless Memorial March is about three miles long. The march will follow 5th Street South westward to Nicollet Avenue and proceed south to 28th Street. Signs to honor those who have died: At the Government Center Plaza, marchers will see signs displaying the names of those who have died during the last year. You are encouraged to take a sign to carry during the march. Please refrain from bringing signs with political, religious, or other messages. We support and encourage religious and political dialogue. However, this event is about honoring those who have died. At 5:00 p.m. a speaker will make a few comments. Following this message, the marchers will leave the Government Center Plaza heading west along 5th Street, then south along Nicollet Avenue. Marchers will follow the route silently through downtown and south to Simpson United Methodist Church.
6:30 pm | Service of Remembrance
Simpson United Methodist Church 2740 1st Avenue South, Minneapolis Following the opening words, there will be an invitation for individuals to share memories of someone who has passed away this year. Each speaker is asked to keep comments under three minutes and refrain from religious or political statements. Memories may also be shared in writing; letters and messages will be posted in a display during the community meal after the service.

Simpson Shelter Lower level of Simpson United Methodist Church Following the memorial service all are invited to stay for a community meal. This is a time for participants to gather, connect, and reflect on what they have just experienced. A festive holiday meal is provided by Minnetonka United Methodist Church. CTUL invites you to “Las Posadas: March for Dignity and Respect”. Construction workers who are members of CTUL are calling on large developers in the Twin Cities metro area to work with Building Dignity and Respect Standards Council to end labor trafficking, wage theft, and other serious abuses in the construction industry.
