Please use Fair Trade certified chocolate and cocoa in your baking and label it as you would gluten free or other factors.

Twin Cities Democratic Socialists of America is launching an interest group for both action and fellowship/discussion for Religious Socialists of all religions and all “brands” of socialism. As soon as beauty is known by the world as beautiful, it becomes ugly.
As soon as virtue is being known as something good, it becomes evil.

Sound and tone harmonize each other.
Before and after follow each other as a sequence.
Realizing this, the saint performs effortlessly, according to the natural Way, without personal desire.
The saint inspires the vitality of all lives, without holding back.

Reading from Matthew 21: 1—3, 6—11 by Linda Berglin
When they had come near Jerusalem and had reached Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village ahead of you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with it; untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, just say this, “The Lord needs them and will send them back immediately.”
The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them; they brought the donkey and the colt, and put their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of Jesus and that followed him were shouting: “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of God! Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was in turmoil, asking, “Who is this?”
And the crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Spring Equinox Ritual – Upper Mississippi River Reclaiming: Palm Sunday, Mar. 25, 3:00 – 6:00 pm. Inspired by the emergent strategy of ferns, we engage with the magic of scale. Gather at 3:00 pm. Ritual begins at 3:30pm. Children will have an opportunity to play roles in this ritual. Children of all ages are invited to dress in green as we will be working with the magic of ferns and green growing things. Donations are welcome to cover costs. If you have questions or want to take on a ritual role, contact the Ritual cell at: umrr.rituals@gmail.com. Reclaiming Rituals are open to folks of all ages, all genders, all physical abilities, pagans, non pagans, solitaries, covens, and the curious. Please do not use intoxicating drugs or alcohol before coming to ritual. We ask that you do not use perfumes, lotions, or other scented products before ritual.
Memorial Service: Many thanks from Steve Sandberg for all the prayers and support on the passing of his father, Maynard Sandberg. There will be a memorial service Monday, March 26, 11 am (visitation 10 am) at Normandale Lutheran Church, 6100 Normandale Blvd. Edina.
Community Meal & Food Giveaway: Tue, Mar. 27, Doors open & food giveaway at 5 pm. Meal served 5:30 to 6:45. Free, everyone welcome. Volunteers are needed, please sign up! Followed by Walker Singers rehearsal, 7:00 to 8:00 pm.

Maundy Thursday Service: Thurs, March 29, 7:00 pm, Epworth UMC, 3207 37th Ave S, Mpls. Walter is preaching. . Show up at 6:15 pm if you want to be in the multi-church mass choir. Email Walter if you want to see the music first.
Easter Sunday: Sun, April 1. Sunrise service at Powderhorn Park pavilion, 7:00 am. Breakfast served 9 am to 10 am in dining hall. (Need dishwasher volunteers 9:30 to 10 am.) Regular celebration at 10:30 am as usual.
Jewish Passover Seder: Friday, April 6, 6:30 pm. (Last night of Passover this year.) Hosted & led by Fred Glazer. The Seder, a traditional family and community Jewish holiday observance and meal, recalls the liberation of the Jewish people from Egypt and the constant struggle to make a better world for all. Reservations are necessary; call the church office or sign up on Sundays. The cost is $16; bring your own wine or wine substitute. If you have questions or you can volunteer to help with cooking or set-up, please call Fred Glazer.

MayDay Across the World – a fundraiser for HOBT’s MayDay Festival: Wed, March 28, 7 pm at the Riverview Theatre, 3800 42nd Ave S, Minneapolis. Three short films about In the Heart of the Beast’s MayDay Celebration and how it has inspired other celebrations elsewhere. Admission $20, all proceeds go to support MayDay 2018.
