If you are bringing treats containing chocolate, whether homemade or bought, please be aware of our Peace with Justice commitment to boycott 95% of the chocolate sold (all major brand names, most bakery items) because it is literally produced by child slaves. Please use Fair Trade certified chocolate and cocoa in your baking.

MN Cuba Committee / Witness for Peace Potluck & Presentation: Fri. Mar. 16, 6 pm. Dining hall. People’s Power Democracy and the Historic 2018 Elections in Cuba. All are invited. Presentation by Luis Hierro Sánchez, a Cuban judge and University of Havana constitutional and electoral law professor. He is currently serving a fellowship at the Humphrey Institute, University of Minnesota.

Three times I appealed to the Lord that it would leave me, but the Lord said to me, “My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in your weakness.”
So I will… boast of my weakness, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

Twin Cities Democratic Socialists of America is launching an interest group for both action and fellowship/discussion for Religious Socialists of all religions and all “brands” of socialism. PALM SUNDAY IS MARCH 25
Spring Equinox Ritual – Upper Mississippi River Reclaiming: Palm Sunday, Mar. 25, 3:00 – 6:00 pm.
Inspired by the emergent strategy of ferns, we engage with the magic of scale. Gather at 3:00 pm. Ritual begins at 3:30pm. Children will have an opportunity to play roles in this ritual. Children of all ages are invited to dress in green as we will be working with the magic of ferns and green growing things. Donations are welcome to cover costs. If you have questions or want to take on a ritual role, contact the Ritual cell at: umrr.rituals@gmail.com. Reclaiming Rituals are open to folks of all ages, all genders, all physical abilities, pagans, non pagans, solitaries, covens, and the curious. Please do not use intoxicating drugs or alcohol before coming to ritual. We ask that you do not use perfumes, lotions, or other scented products before ritual.

EASTER SUNDAY IS APRIL 1. More information in next week’s announcements.
Jewish Passover Seder: Friday, April 6, 6:30 pm. (Last night of Passover this year.) Hosted & led by Fred Glazer. The Seder, a traditional family and community Jewish holiday observance and meal, recalls the liberation of the Jewish people from Egypt and the constant struggle to make a better world for all.
Reservations are necessary; call the church office or sign up on Sundays. The cost is $16; bring your own wine or wine substitute. If you have questions about the service, please call Fred Glazer. Please call if you can volunteer to help with cooking and set-up.
