Prisoner Letter Writing Night: Thursday, November 15th, 6-8pm in the conference room. Prisoner letter writing nights will now be on the first Thursday of the month along with the continued 3rd Thursday of the month. Open to all. FFI Bailey Riley rileyb16@gmail.com
Walker Art Fair: Saturday, November 17th 10am-4pm and Sunday, November 18th, Noon-4pm.

4 “Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign that all these things are about to be accomplished?”
5 Then Jesus began to say to them, “Beware that no one leads you astray.

***Hello All! This last week the SPRC met to discuss the results of the last meeting and to plan the next, which will take place Sunday, December 9th. What follows is a very brief summation of the collective responses to the questions we asked. At the next meeting we will be continuing this discussion and also considering our financial situation. Please mark your calendars and make time for this next meeting. What we are doing is critical to the future existence of Walker Church.

Just because it isn’t ready for release isn’t to say you can’t gift your relatives and friends this Christmas with the Walker Church music CD, “The Sound of Walker.” We will provide a greeting gift card mailer in quantity for your use that announces an anticipated release date. MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! Classics Lost ‘n’ Found Theater Company is proud to present an original adaption of Snow White, written by Steven LaVigne. Co-directed by Dawn Linnell and Steven LaVigne, this is not the Disney version! Dancing bears! Bad puns! Corny jokes! A bratty Snow White and a Prince who thinks he’s a dwarf! A good fairy in drag! Please join us for this free-wheeling holiday panto! Four performances only! Friday, December 14th and Saturday, December 15th at 7 pm and Saturday, December 15th and Sunday, December 16th at 3 pm at Walker Church in the sanctuary. Dine Out For Syrian Refugees: Benefit Dinner for SAMS. Wednesday, Nov. 14th at 6pm at Gandhi Mahal, 3009 27th Ave S. Hear the heartwarming stories from Minnesota volunteers’ work in the refugee camps in Lebanon last spring with the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS). Come out for a beautiful evening of music and community to fuel the fight against Line 3! Co-hosted by MN350: Building a Climate Movement in Minnesota and Honor the Earth, this concert will feature the music of Annie Humphrey Music and Keith Secola Band, with local opener Freaque. Learn about how we are fighting Line 3 and how the resistance to Line 3 is growing. Line 3 is a proposed tar sands oil pipeline that would cut through Minnesota, causing irreparable harm to our waters. The pipeline route also encroaches on treaty-protected territory where the Ojibwe retain the right to hunt, fish, and harvest wild rice, thus breaking these treaties. Finally, the pipeline would increase our dependence on oil, hitting the accelerator on global warming. Indigenous communities, landowners, water protectors, environmentalists, and thousands of other Minnesotans have been resisting this pipeline for years. The fight continues, and we need your help. In Dream of Owls, Little Theo is drifting off to sleep when he is frightened by a hooting sound. His father shows him how to overcome his fear by naming it. As Theo drifts off to sleep, he learns more and more about owls, the source of the sound, from a strangely familiar dream dragon. Will it be enough to banish his nightmare away? Dream of Owls is a show focused on owls and how to overcome your fear by learning about it. A great alternative to screen time, these performances will delight kids of all ages! Home for the Holidays Help Us Make Home-Centered Holiday Visits to Isolated Elders Across the Twin Cities!
Home for the Holidays is just around the corner! Please join with other volunteers all across the metro who will visit elders in their home, apartment or nursing home for an hour or more on or near Thanksgiving and Christmas. Individuals, families and friends will provide warm conversation and holiday cheer along with a red rose, a small gift, and a whole pumpkin pie to share with others at Thanksgiving, and festive holiday cookies at Christmas.
