Trustees Meeting Minutes
August 12, 2015
Those present: Ed Ed Mueller, Al Hildenbrand, Wayne Bailey, Trenk Ebbighausen, Harlan Seelhoff, Becky Hanson
Minutes of the last meeting were corrected and approved.
Financial printouts from Jennifer were passed around.
Jennifer says there is a bill for restarting the elevator after the July 18 Xcel Energy thirteen hour power outage that comes to almost $1,000.00 dollars. The Bronze Service Agreement with Thyssen Krupp states on page 7 under the heading “Other Conditions” the language: “we shall not be obligated to service, renew, replace and/or repair the equipment due to. . . any loss of power, power fluctuations, power failure, or power surges that in any way affect the operation of the equipment.” It is moved by Ed Ed and seconded by Becky to write a letter of inquiry about the service tech’s report vs. the bill description, and to hold off on the payment of the bill.
Doorbell parts have arrived.
31st Street has been re-surfaced but not re-striped and re-signed.
Peace pole update. The re-installation of the peace pole is intended to happen Home Coming Sunday. The pole was given by Rev. Larry Nielsen to Walker in memory of Seth Garwood and Brian Peterson. A place must be chosen. Wayne moved and Becky seconded that the Trustees add their opinion that the placement of the Peace Pole be on the NW area of the grass yard. Unanimously passed.
Update about Shabach Temple.
Discussion about the running of the AC for the building during the Dog Days of Summer.
Letter from Kent Eklund. The trustees considered the letter and decided that we don’t have any thing to say about the situation, and that we await a clear asking from the Eklund household.
Watson Forsberg Construction has forwarded to us a Consumer Product Safety Committee report that our Heat-N-Glow entry gas log fireplace might be included in a product recall. In reviewing Make, Model and Serial number information with Heat-N-Glow, the Walker Fireplace is not included in the CPSC recall.
