Trustees Meeting Minutes
Nov 12, 2014
Those present: Jennifer Gahnstrom, Al Hildenbrand, Wayne Bailey, Jim Stark, Harlan Seelhoff, Ed Ed Mueller.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Jennifer presented the state of the finances. Jennifer invited any and all of the Trustees to attend the Rental Task Force meetings. Ed Ed volunteered to represent the Trustees.
The Parsonage has been fully staged and formally listed for sale. There are still a few items that need to be removed from the basement and the garage.
The Empty Bowls offer to store their trailer mounted brick bread oven in the back yard was considered. After realizing that the fence must be disassembled and that it is not bolted together, it was moved and seconded to respectfully decline the offer. Passed unanimously
Renting of the NE corner office was discussed. Ed Ed reports he has started moving the A/V contents to the unfinished bath, and then it was moved and seconded to approve the rental of the first floor NE corner office and that the office may be advertised as available Dec. 1. Passed unanimously.
Addition of a 32″ TV was considered, on Conference wall or on cart. After discussion it was moved and seconded to hang the TV on the West wall of the Conference room, above the countertop. Passed unanimously.
Wayne is completing the building of a bulletin board. It will be mounted over the front hall thermostat and the exit map will be relocated.
The Fellowship Hall East pull-down projection screen was considered. The East soffit is NON structural (being built out of steel sound channel and drywall and screwed with drywall screws to the drywall ceiling) and cannot support the weight of the screen. Threaded rod supported through the ceiling from 2 by stock laid over the top of the ceiling joists will be required to carry the load.
The items for the end-of-warranty punch list were enumerated.
- Dining floor tile in West double door to hall,
- Sanctuary doors,
- Boiler document,
- water in the basement (hint in south expansion joint in last six weeks),
- front electric door still hangs,
- west Fellowship door latch/lock out of alignment,
- Flat roof screw pops,
- Elevator occasionally stops as much as 1″ off of level with hall floor.
- Dimmer for back-prosenium stage lights has failed
- Backyard WP Cover installed, but it is blocked by the downspout.
- A few acoustic panels in the Sanctuary are out-of-plane (loose from hanger)
- Raypak’s Tim Trout reports that the hydronic heating lines have the sound of air in them
