The Fireroast Mountain Boys- Still on Fire: Saturday, November 8, 7pm. The Fireroast Mountain Boys are recording live at Walker Church like we did at the old place over 7 years ago. Since you all sounded so great on that one we thought we’d invite you back to laugh, applaud and sing a long again with us. We’re also featuring a special guitarist option; play along on Guitar Jam as we try to set a new record for number of guitars on one song at Walker Church (currently the record is 17). We’re calling the event Still on Fire. Tickets are 10 dollars in advance and 12 dollars at the door. DANCE THE CREATION FOR WALKER CELEBRATION!
Thanks to the marvelous hospitality extended to me by Walker Church, I have been invited to set one of my dances on the community and have it performed for celebration on November 23, November 30, and December 7.
I would like to have a large group of dancers learn it, anyone aged 9 years and older is welcome (Would be nice to have a parent and child dancing together, maybe?). You need have no previous dance experience, although having some athletic ability like being a runner or swimmer is helpful.

In this one person play, theatrical performance activist Peterson Toscano unearths transgender Bible characters- those people who do not fit in the gender binary, and who in transgressing and transcending gender, find themselves at the center of some of the Bible’s most important stories. Peterson Toscano is a theatrical performance activist using comedy and storytelling to address social justice concerns. He spent 17 years and over $30,000 on three continents attempting (and failing) to change his same-sex orientation. He is the author of several one-person comedies. Peterson has delighted diverse audiences and received high praise for his ground-breaking, genre-bending, gender-blending Bible scholarship wrapped up in a performance.
